Dear friends,

I am glad to inform you that despite of the terrible corona virus, the two international croquet events in Latvia will go ahead as planned. Latvia has been privileged to have very few victims of covid-19 (just 11 per 1 million population), our croquet season has started almost according to initial schedule. Our airline AirBaltic has already started daily flights to Frankfurt, Oslo, Amsterdam, Copenhagen. Every week, new destinations will be added, and life is slowly coming back to some kind of normality.

The traditional Baltic Open GC takes place for the 9th year, as always, on the first weekend of September. Over the previous years, we have had a pleasure to welcome players from 10 different countries. Novelty for this year is Anna Open Ladies GC tournament on the first weekend of August, hosted by the Sigulda Club with a brand new wonderful lawn.

The deadlines for application to both events have been extended to 1 July, to give chance to those who would like to wait before decision. Please feel free to share this information with others, and ask questions. Looking forward to welcoming many of you this year again. Best regards.
